Greetings Church Family,
I hope your week thus far has been a productive and dynamic one both physically and spiritually. Office work has been keeping me quite busy as usual but I’m looking forward to the refreshing and rejuvenation afforded by the Breakforth Convention electives that I will be attending this weekend. I won’t see you at church this weekend but I pray that Pastor Dan’s message, True Worshippers, by the power of the Holy Spirit, will light a fire in your hearts for worship. Come prepared for praise, worship, and fellowship this weekend.
Speaking of fellowship, there is no better way to fellowship with one another than over food. Plan to stay after the Worship Service for the refreshments that will be served courtesy of Kristie Maier’s team. And remember, our Hospitality Crews are always so appreciative of any help that is offered for clean-up. Many hands make light work.
I will be issuing tax receipts for tithes and offerings that were made before December 31 in a couple of weeks. According to CRA guidelines, all tax receipts must have proper names and up-to-date addresses. So, if your address has changed or will be changing, please be sure to let me know. These receipts will be issued and placed in your church mailbox for Sabbath, February 10. If you are a regular attendee and don’t have a church mailbox yet, just let me know and I’ll be sure to get you set up with one.
The Prayer and Encouragement ministries at RWCC are two very important aspects of Pastoral Care. If you are in need of prayer or would like to be added to the prayer chain, please email Donna Kutzner (wildon@albertacom.com). Likewise, if you are aware of anyone that is in need of encouragement, please contact Ona Marques (ona560@gmail.com) or Michelle Solheiro (michelle.sevcik31@gmail.com).
We have a couple of events on the horizon that I would like to bring to your attention.
Please join us as we celebrate the upcoming addition to the Bedford family. Mark and Sarah are excited to start their journey as first time parents. Come help them celebrate and prepare for the arrival of their sweet little girl, Olivia Rose, this coming Sabbath, January 27 at 3pm in the Conference Room. Sarah is registered at Buy Buy Baby under the name “Sarah Bedford.”
On Sabbath, February 3, Tracey Boller and friends from the Salvation Army Van Outreach Ministry will present a special presentation for the 11 o’clock service called The Lost Restored where two amazing women from different walks of life tell their story of survival and share how God’s love heals, restores and saves. Then the My Journey, Salvation Army Van Ministry presentation will immediately follow the Worship Service in the Conference Room. Taanis Bellerose, Social Justice Advocate, will give her salvation transformation testimony from adoption, loss of identity, addiction, and human trafficking and awakening. A light lunch will be served for those in attendance.
Until next week. . .
Blessings,
